The Spanish town of Barcelona is a homeless museum, where you can learn about the architecture of different regions of Spain in a short time. It is located on the Montjuic hill. If you plan to visit the hill, consider visiting Poble Espanyol.
In fact, Poble Espanyol is an architectural museum. Its inauguration dates back to 1929, when the Universal Exposition was inaugurated. This museum is highly visited by tourists. Professional architects visited more than 1600 cities and towns across the country, and based on the selected material in an area of 49 square kilometers, exact copies of buildings from different regions of Spain were built and they are not just models, there are also authentic buildings, in which every detail is made in a style typical of Spanish architecture.
Once coming here, thousands of tourists annually enter the unique atmosphere of Spain for several centuries.
At the entrance you can see the doors of the medieval fortress of Ávila, then you reach the Plaza Mayor with the buildings of Castilla y Aragón, then the streets lead through the Andalusian, Basque, Galician, Balearic, Valencian and Catalan neighborhoods - 117 authentic buildings in total. On the ground floors of the buildings numerous craft shops operate - here you can buy real handmade mantilla, Toledo blades, embroidered textiles, leather goods, ceramics and, of course, some culinary delights, such as olive oil.
