Once you enter the Mercat Olivar product market in the capital, Palma de Mallorca. This place is full of fresh products, many of which come from the island. Opened in 1951, this 112-stall market is popular not only with locals, but also with tourists. Among the 3,000 visitors who visit the Mercat de L¨Olivar every day, there are men, women, children and tourists who participate in guided tours of Palma and thus also in the market.
 
Palma's traditional market, with its colorful and Mediterranean bustle, has existed for more than half a century. In recent years, it has become a benchmark for getting all kinds of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and some special artisan products. Whether it's eggplant, bananas, melons, kiwis, tomatoes, or zucchini are on the shopping list, you'll find what you're looking for here.
 
During the summer wait to see the tourists wandering around, marveling at the beautiful products on offer. Pick up some of the excellent olives and other Spanish and Mallorcan local products on offer.
The market is located in Placa Olivar, not far from La Plaza Espanya. It is open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. at 2:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays until 3:00 p.m. On Sundays, the Mercat de L¨Olivar is closed.
