Itinerary (4)Hours
Day 1 : ORIGIN - MADRID (Tuesday)Upon arrival to Madrid Airport you will be welcomed by our driver and then transfer to your hotel. Check-in and rest of the day free to stroll around and explore the capital of Spain. Overnight in Madrid. Day 2 : MADRID (Wednesday)Buffet Breakfast. Today you will be able to discover this cosmopolitan city that combines modern infrastructure with its status as an economic, financial and administrative center with an immense cultural and artistic heritage. Near the plaza Mayor is the area known as the old aristocratic center where the jewel in the crown is the Royal Palace, an imposing building, whose works began in 1738, and was completed in 1764, featuring a mixture of Baroque and classicist styles. Besides it, is the Plaza de Oriente, the Teatro Real Opera house, and the cathedral of La Almudena. The “Paseo del Arte” Art route - derives its name from the world class museums, palaces and gardens located in the area. During approximately 2:30 hours, You will see its most important buildings, avenues and squares to the present modern city which includes : Gran Via, Plaza de España, University Area, Calle Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá, the bullring, Columbus square, Real Madrid F.C stadium Santiago Bernabeu. Overnight in Madrid. Day 3 : MADRID (Thursday) (Option: Day trips to the SurroundingsBuffet Breakfast. Day at leisure to continue discovering this wonderful city or perhaps to visit the surroundings. Option: You can take one of the day trips from Madrid to visit: Toledo, known as the Imperial City or “City of the three Cultures”; Avila, whose historic centre and the churches outside the city walls have been awarded with World Heritage designation by the UNESCO; Aranjuez, a Historic- Artistic Site, with its royal palaces, and gardens on the banks of the Tagus river which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO or El Escorial, where you will find a UNESCO World Heritage-designated monastery, home to the secrets of Spanish history, as well as a charming town in beautiful natural surroundings. Overnight in Madrid. Day 4 : MADRID - BARCELONA (Friday)Buffet Breakfast Check-out from your hotel in Madrid. Transfer to Madrid Railway station (not included). Departure by AVE train from Madrid to Barcelona. Option: Transfers in both cities. Arrival and transfer to Barcelona hotel (not included). Check in at your hotel and the rest of the day free. Overnight in Barcelona. Day 5 : BARCELONA (Saturday)Buffet Breakfast. Today you will be able to visit Barcelona, a Mediterranean and cosmopolitan city with Roman remains, medieval quarters and beautiful examples of 20th century Modernism and avant Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Doménech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. The city's original site, which was surrounded by walls in the Roman period, is today the Barrio Gótico (Gothic Quarter). Along narrow streets, with small squares and charming corners, you will find civil and religious Gothic constructions, and medieval palaces standing around the impressive cathedral. Enjoy a morning sightseeing city tour visiting the the Montjuic Park with spectacular views over the city, the Olympic Ring, the monument to Columbus and the charming old Gothic Quarter.
