TEA (Tenerife Space of the Arts)

Also known by the acronym TEA, this space is the result of the collaboration of the Swiss architects Herzog and De Meuron and the canary Virgilio Gutiérrez.

Promoted by the Cabildo de Tenerife, it houses the Óscar Domínguez Institute, the Island of Tenerife Photography Center and the Insular Network Library. The TEA building, Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, with an area of 20,622 m2, is an unprecedented infrastructure in the archipelago.

The diagonal elements are the protagonists of the construction, with sloping floors that act as ramps between the different levels, mixing through windows and landscapes. More than 1200 glass compartments with different shapes and sizes give the building an extremely dynamic appearance both from the outside and from the inside.
