Museum of Nature and Man

In the relatively small Canary Islands, it seems that museums should also be small. But the Museum of Nature and Man in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is not small.

And his exposition is not ordinary. Suffice to say, it features mummies. Note that the museum keeps mummies of the Guanches - the indigenous inhabitants of the island. The Department of Anthropology of Ancient Civilizations contains many other interesting exhibits.

They help imagine how people lived in the Canary Islands thousands of years ago. A large section of the Museum of Nature and Man is dedicated to the history of the origin and existence of the Canary Islands.

In the Museum of Nature and Man you can also see beautiful collections of ceramics, Mediterranean and Aegean amphoras, as well as fossil remains of prehistoric animals from the Canary Islands and other parts of the world, such as a giant lizard, a giant bat and a shark-toothed megalodon.
